SAT events include those that serve our congregation, (e.g. helping out at services and special events), and community service efforts/volunteering.  SATs receive community service hours for most activities.  Any member of Shir Ami from grades 7-12 may participate in SAT events and activities.

SAT Calendar of Events 2011-2012

 

Simchat Torah & SAT Kickoff Meeting – Friday October 21st, 6:30PM

at Atria, 77 3rd Avenue Stamford

Come help set up the room at 6:30 and eat Chinese food; greet Atria residents; attend services at 7:30 - see the Torah rolled-out, Shir Ami Band, dancing with Dahni.

 

Holiday Sharing (Shop for a Family) - Sunday December 4th, 11AM-3PM-ish, 14 Druid Lane, Riv.

Come help us with our Jr. League of Westchester sponsored shopping spree to help a local family in need.  Start out at the Blood/Bardos home for planning and donuts (11-12), travel to Norwalk for shopping, 12-3PM; return to the Blood/Bardos home for packaging up our purchases and an orgy of pizza, snacks and sweets.  You can come for whatever portion of the day that fits your schedule.

 

Chanukah Live! Friday December 16th, 5-9PM at First Presbyterian Church*

Help set up for Chanukah Live from 4-6PM, greet arriving congregation members, 6-9PM service.

 

Religious School Chanukah Celebration, Tuesday December 20th, 4-6PM, First Presbytarian Church*

Come help out as the religious school kids make donuts, do crafts, play dreidel and sing.

 

Religious School Purim Celebration, Tuesday March 6th, 4-6PM, First Presbytarian Church*

Come help make Purim goody bags for seniors and help with the activities for the younger kids like face painting, costume dress-up, and crafts related to Purim.

 

Neighbor to Neighbor, Sat March 17th, 8:30-12, Christ Church, 254 E. Putnam Ave, Greenwich

Come help out in the food pantry or in the clothing area!

 

Religious School Passover Model Seder, Tuesday April 3rd, 4-6PM, First Presbytarian Church*

Come help out at religious school as kids sing songs and hear the story of Passover.
