Host an Oneg
Members of Shir Ami are asked to perform the mitzvah of hosting an Oneg or Dinner following a Friday night Shabbat Service, Havdalah Service or a Kiddush Luncheon following a Shabbat Morning Service in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special occasion (B/Mitzvah, Anniversary, Birthday) or just because. The host family is asked to arrive by 45 minutes before the start of the service to set-up all the goodies and stay to the end to clean up, and take home all leftover food, beverages, and serving pieces.
The host family will be invited to participate in the service in a special way.
