Shir Ami is a warm and welcoming Reform Jewish congregation with Torah at the center. We embrace our heritage while creating new ways to bring us closer to each other and God through acts of worship, caring, learning, giving, singing and celebrating together.
Given all that's unfolding in the world, Rabbi David has selected love as Shir Ami's theme for Jewish Year 5785. Come see love in action at Congregation Shir Ami. |

Israel evokes inspiration, dismay, pride, anger, blessing, suffering, love and hate. The State of Israel and the Mideast, including the ongoing crisis in Palestinian life, deeply touch the heart of everyone in and near Jewish life. Yet rarely do we discuss them. Too often such matters are avoided like a Third Rail, or suppressed, or relegated to quiet corners.
This series will explore how the Mideast touches us and our Judaism, through the lenses of Jewish values and important topics in Jewish and Mideast life. We also will explore how to have open and respectful dialogue about the Middle East with each other…and hopefully others in our lives. Read more about this series and its goals here. |
